Hello – I’m Shannon. I live in California and I’m running this campaign on behalf of Dalia & her family.

Dalia, her husband (Ahmed) and their 18 month old son, Adam, were displaced from Northern Gaza and are currently living in a tent in Mawasi Khan Yunis. Their home was destroyed, Ahmed lost his right foot, and they’ve lost all forms of income.

Dalia is also nearing the end of her second pregnancy (due in early February) and the family lacks adequate shelter and basic necesities

Funds raised here will go towards the following:

-Every day items including food, milk & diapers

-Adequte shelter (this family needs a waterproof tent urgently)

-Medical expenses. For Ahmed this includes purchasing a wheelchair & getting pain medication to manage the ongoing pain from his amputation, especially in the cold. Dalia needs prenatal, birth & postpartum care. And the family needs to be able to afford medication for sickness as needed.

-Winter clothing & blankets

-Newborn necesities – especially warm clothing & blankets

Please show your solidarity and support for this sweet family by donating what you can and by sharing their story. Mutual aid truly saves lives!

Here are additional words from Dalia:

“I am Dalia from Gaza. Before the war we lived in Northern Gaza. We had a beautiful house that brought us together. Shortly before the war, I gave bith to my first child, Adam. He lived with us during the period of displacement and difficult times. My entire house was bombed, and our dreams ended with it. My husband lost his right food, and he was the breadwinner for us. Now we live in in the shelters of Khan Yunis on the sea in light of the extreme cold. I am now pregnant and l live in a tent, which is more like livin gon the street. Here we live in difficult conditions and everything is expensive, and the living conditions for us and our child were not available. Now, I am about to give birth to my second child. There are no resources available to receive her in that situation.’

UPDATE – 4/23/25

On February 26th Dalia gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Hassan. They are in need of diapers, formula, clothing and basic medicines for this sweet boy.
